Mercantile has a proud tradition of exceptional performance on the international stage.  In the past 20 years, Mercantile Rowing Club has lived up to it’s nickname as the “Mecca”of rowing.

Gold medals for Mercantile athletes at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, 1996 Atlanta Olympics, 2004 Athens Olympics, 2008 Beijing Olympics and a myriad of World Championships in between.  Names such as Cooper, Tomkins, Ginn, McKay and Crawshay are not only legends within the club, but part of Australian sporting folklore.
